The Macromolecules and Interfaces Institute (MII) has devoted much attention to the education and professional development of undergraduate and graduate students.  On campus we have earned a reputation for devoting a very high percentage of our funding to student development.  Off-campus, our alumni have also earned a reputation for strong academic training, broad interdisciplinary skills, and good communication capabilities.  Since 1982 when the Institute was founded, we have graduated over 400 students.  We averaged graduating 35 students per year, half of whom received either MS or PhD degrees.
