Research Interests:
Bioplastics and biopolymeric materials and applications in sustainable packaging: Interaction behavior studies between product and packaging. Gas barrier property and thermal stability enhancement using smart hybrid filler systems. Patented Inclusion complex (IC) system studies using polymer and cyclodextrin. Carbon and cellulose based nanomaterial composite structure development and production for packaging. Extraction and application of biocomponensts using patent filed melt compounding processes. Biopolymeric films using enzymatic or physcochemical modification. Biosensor development and applications using the patented novel chemiluminescent assay. Freshness indicator and smart packaging system designing and application for food and medical packaging products. Applications: cast and blown films, injection/extrusion containers, hybrid nanofillers, thermal stabilizer using IC, carbon based nanocellulose aerogel and form, Resazulin based Freshness indicator, and Biosensor microchips.
